Goodbye 2023, Hello 2024!

FUSD recognizes that we need to post positions for the 2024/25 school year much earlier than April if we are to attract top candidates and compete with the Phoenix area districts.  I will meet with Mr. Penca and Mrs. Anderson the very first week back from winter break.  I will need to gather your intentions prior to Jan 5th in order to prepare for our staffing meeting.  These answers remain confidential. Thank you for your attention.     2024/25 Planning Form

Welcome Zoe Hazon, 0.5 FTE Resource!

Hey, Mustangs! I'm Tr. Zoe!
You've probably seen me floating around the hallways this year as a student teacher, but I have exciting news....I am now officially here to stay! I'm a big fan of nerdy thing, crafts and my drooly Boxer dog, Duke! I am new to Flagstaff so let me know fun things that are happening in town! I've worked in special education for almost 10 years as a para-educator at SUSD and I'm super excited to now be wearing the teacher hat. Please feel free to say hi to me...I don't bite....I think...
Welcome to Marshall, Zoe!  We know you will be splitting your time between here (0.5 FTE) and Killip (0.5 FTE).  We will try to make it easy on you! Thank you for choosing Marshall.

Help us conserve energy and properly prepare your rooms for no mice!  Take all food home (or make sure it is secure in plastic bins).

From Steve Rhode:

Hello. Please remember to close all windows and doors and unplug computers, printers, coffee pots, mini-fridges, doc cameras, projectors and etc. before you exit for the winter break to assist in energy savings.  Thank you for your assistance in helping FUSD with energy savings. Have a good break, safe travels, and happy holidays to all.

Please double-check that all doors and windows are closed and latched in your building.  Southwest Security will be conducting an hourly drive at each site from 9:00-6:00 am during the break beginning tonight.
Also, t
echnology department is asking staff to not unplug network printers, copiers or mounted projectors.   If you have any questions or concerns about technology items, please contact the Technology Help Desk at 527-6300.

Technology Grades - Important Changes for Quarter 2

Technology standards are now linked in your Grade Books. Here are a few things you should know...

  • In order to transfer into Report Card, all technology grades must be linked to one of the two new standards that have a target (bullseye) 🎯 next to them.

🎯 Digital Innovator - Encompasses all technology standards except Digital Citizenship

    🎯 Digital Citizenship

  • If you entered technology grades in the first quarter, you need to edit your assignments and link them to a target 🎯 standard. You will also be required to re-enter your students' grades. Here is a video that will explain how to do that. You will only need to view the video and make these changes if you created assignments during Quarter 1.

  • If you waited until the 2nd quarter and linked the target standards to start, you will not need to do anything.
