From FUSD Foundation:

The FUSD Foundation was officially nominated as one of the top 9 local non-profits thanks to all the nominations submitted. We want to thank you for all your support.

So now we're onto the next step which is actually VOTING for the Foundation so we can win the $4000 to help fund our micro-grant program. I know that most, if not all of our schools, have benefited from either the micro-grant program as of last Fall or the Debby Grogan Music Memorial fund. We're also looking to create a STEM fund.  This money can help us get it started while we continue to hold local restaurant fundraisers as well (information/dates we have confirmed at the end of the email). We raised over 1K last month with Fratellis! YAY!
Please vote (up to 50x per email) and share with your teachers and staff please! Voting ends May 31st. Winner announced June 2nd.

We know that we have seen an uptick in student behaviors...

It is very clear that for so many, they are experiencing anxiety about the end of the school year.  Please be mindful of the behaviors you are seeing. Please reach out to me or Mrs. C. if you would like some assistance with a student who is struggling.  They show it in so many ways, I don't have to tell you about it.  I just want you to know we are here to support you in supporting them.  You are incredibly important to them.  They don't want school to be over.  They are not all counting down to summer.  We will all continue to give them our all.  They deserve the best of us, even when we know we are spent.  Thank you for giving them all you got.  It is NOT easy! You are doing an aMAYzing job!

Surveys:
1) All STAFF: BRYS survey due 5/19/23
As part of our school's participation in the Building Resilient Youth and Schools (BRYS) grant, we need to collect certain data on an annual basis. In the next two weeks, we need all staff at your school, including educators, administrators, paraprofessionals, and any other employees of the school to complete a Needs Assessment survey. All responses are due by Friday, May 19th.
The purpose of this survey is to assess the current state and perception of the needs of administrators, educators, and school staff pertaining to mental health/wellness, and programs/supports for student and educator mental health/wellness, and the impact of disrupted learning due to COVID-19. The results of the Needs Assessment will be shared with the School Leadership Team and will help inform our collaboration to continue implementing BRYS programming at your school. It took me 15 min to answer 27 questions.
Please send the survey to all school staff to complete using this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SBJHWYF
