FUSD recognizes that we need to post positions for the 2024/25 school year much earlier than April if we are to attract top candidates and compete with the Phoenix area districts. I will need to gather your intentions prior to Jan 5th (PAST DUE for some of you) in order to prepare for our staffing meeting. Only 23 of your have completed this form. Gradebook Information
The closing date for Grade Book is end of day on Friday, January 12, 2024. This extension was given as a result of the full day of school on January 5. Please remember to "Mark All Complete" once you have finalized student grades. If for any reason you have to make a change after January 12 at 5PM, you will need to contact Lynette Hammit.

Nine-Month Hourly Employees
* Delay-days are considered to be workdays. On such days, nine month hourly employees:
* should arrive to work at a time that is “Safe and Reasonable” according to their own individual circumstances. Only employees can determine when is a safe time to travel to and from their home.
* will clock in and out appropriately and their time will reflect the hours actually worked on that day.
* may apply accumulated leave as per policy as a means of not incurring a pay deduction for hours not worked.
* may request flex-time from their supervisor as a means of recapturing the time lost (for example, if an employee arrives one hour late, that employee may be permitted to stay an hour late on the same day or make up that hour on another day as approved by their supervisor). Flex-time must take place during the same week and cannot be carried over.
* will not be subject to disciplinary action for their inability to arrive at work in a timely manner.
* School Closure days are NOT considered to be workdays for nine month hourly employees. Nine month hourly employees will make up this lost time on snow make-up days as per district calendar or may choose to apply accumulated leave on these days.
Nine-Month Certified Staff
* Delay-days are considered to be workdays. On such days, nine month certified employees:
* should arrive to work at a time that is “Safe and Reasonable” according to their own individual circumstances. Only employees can determine when is a safe time to travel to and from their home.
* may choose to call off and use accumulated leave as per policy.
* will not be subject to disciplinary action for their inability to arrive at work in a timely manner.
* School Closure days are not considered to be workdays for nine month certified employees; thus, neither accumulated leave nor flex-time is available for use to recapture time lost on such closure-days. Rather, nine month employees will make up this lost time on snow make-up days as per district.
