Tax Credit Donations
Staff, I’d like to kindly ask you (and your friends and your family and any AZ tax payer you know) to please consider making a contribution to Marshall Magnet Elementary School this tax season. The process is simple: you donate the amount of your choice and receive a dollar-for-dollar credit on your taxes. For example, if you donate $100 now and owe $100 in taxes by April, your payment will be reduced by that $100. If you donate $100 and are expecting a refund, your refund will increase by $100. A person filing their tax return individually may contribute up to $200 annually. Married couples filing jointly may contribute up to $400 annually, but every dollar helps us provide bussing, field trips, and extracurricular activities for our amazing students!
Give you Money to the State or give it to our school...either way, you pay!
Sub requests will not be granted for Fridays or designated blackout days.
When requesting substitutes for collaboration time, please include the following details in your proposed plan:
- Specific Plan Details: Clearly outline the purpose, specific dates, and the number of substitutes needed.
- Back-Up Plan: Provide a contingency date in case there’s a district-wide substitute shortage (e.g., if coverage drops below 65%).
- Submission Timeline: Requests must be submitted at least four weeks in advance.
- Comprehensive Sub Plans: Teachers need to provide detailed substitute plans to ensure instructional time is well-utilized.
Consider Completing a Community Share: CommunityShare - FUSD.

Concerns and Changes to Laws Etc.
Marshall's front office and leadership team has been briefed on how to handle situations with immigration if it was ever to occur at one of our school sites. We have specific guidelines to follow. We were asked to not distribute. I would be happy to talk with anyone that wants to know more. Once I have information on any topic that could affect our students and families I will make sure to share it. Once a change occurs, the FUSD legal team is on top of it, and Mr. Penca communicates that to principals.
Legal Counsel re Immigration for Families
If we have any families needing free legal counsel re immigration status, etc. The organization is called Northern Arizona Immigration Legal Services (NAILS) and they offer Spanish and online services too.
