March Marvelousness!!

 March Marvelousness!

The RTI team will be available the first week in March to monitor classrooms while students work independently so teachers may have extra prep time before conferences.  If you would like to sign up, please do so HERE.  You may sign up for one time (up to two teachers per time slot).

Thank you, Dana Kamberg, for the beautiful bulletin boards!

HERE is the AZ Sci & AASA testing schedule.
Please check the schedule carefully as almost every grade has a change.

Professional Development Opportunities

Several PD opportunities offered by partner organizations have recently been added to the FUSD Professional Learning website. Please be sure to review these offering by clicking the link below and contact the partner organizations with any questions.

BEHAVIOR SOLUTIONS GUIDING COALITION

Process for Getting Students into Academies:
  1. When the behavior is persisting teachers should complete the B-IDM Form***Add question about academies we have and what will they benefit from***
  2. Either in PLCs or Mrs. C will drop off the SIM-Form (attached if you want a look)
  3. Jenn will pull student to complete the Forced Choice Reinforcement (attached if you want a look)
  4. Once that is complete, the B-IDM team will go over the results of those to determine the next steps / which academies or interventions they could benefit from.
Academies we currently have ready:
  • Hands Off (primary & intermediate)
  • Emotional Regulation (primary & intermediate)
Need to Figure Out/Continue to Discuss:
  • What other academies do we want/need at Marshall?
    • Attendance (what would we be teaching or how to help?)
  • Who will be teaching the academies?
    • Jenn would need specific forms signed, which means that some parents may not allow it. Worries of being pulled for emergencies.
    • Maybe teachers do it during RTI (Mears is down for 4th and 5th grade RTI if needed)
    • Times? Want it to be pulled out of beneficial times.
    • What other people are available?
  • Next year thoughts:
    • Discussing better scheduling. Maybe no teaching RTI for specials teacher so they can teach the academies?
    • Joint Tier 2 time that can be used for academies?

Report your conference percentages HERE .  At conferences, pleade encourage tax credit participation and direct families to the FUSD Family Survey below.

2024-2025 FUSD Family Survey
This survey is for the families we serve and was sent to all from Mr. Penca on Monday, March 3.  PLEASE communicate this with your families in all of your news letters, blogs, emails, etc.  WE NEED TO HEAR FROM THEM!  We need your help to get this in front of them.  Conferences are also a great time for that!  Additionally, we need to continue to push our tax credit opportunity to our families.  Please consider sharing they how and why with them!  The survey will close Friday, March 28.
Please promote family participation in the survey in your school communications.  Here is the survey link: https://forms.gle/ipvdx7WgdvLGRNFX8

All staff to do list includes this short survey for our continued school improvement.  It is the newer version created last year so much much shorter than in the past.
Please complete the following survey for your input on Marshall's focus for our School Improvement Plan.  This survey is to replace the long questionnaire (184 questions) used in the past. Only 8 questions for you to focus on.  Due Friday, March 21.  Thank you.
