Ready or not, here we go! This month will bring many firsts, many lasts, many plans for the future and many celebration of the past! Together, we will maintain our focus on student progress while we share our many opportunities for gratitude.
- NO bleach products- Please note that FUSD does not allow the use of bleach products in the class. Please make sure that any disinfectant wipes or sprays do not have bleach (or sodium hypochlorite). There is the potential for a chemical reaction to occur on surfaces where bleach wipes and custodial cleaning supplies are used at the same time. Please note, if you have a beginning of the year donation list for parents, you need to specify that you cannot accept bleach products. Standard Lysol wipes do not usually contain bleach, but it is important to check the label. Thank you for keeping yourself, your students and the custodial staff safe.
- Hand, Foot and Mouth- We have had a few cases of Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease. The FUSD policy is that students that have had Hand, Foot and Mouth may return to school when they are fever-free for 24 hours, have no open sores and are feeling overall well. They may still have small marks on the skin but nothing open.
Dear FUSD Families and Staff,
You’re invited to join Marshall Magnet Elementary School for a special Legacy to Launch Celebration on Wednesday, November 20, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
This exciting event honors Marshall’s incredible history—established in 1952—and celebrates the opening of its new school building. Community members, alumni, students, staff, and families are all welcome to attend!
At Marshall 1.0 (Legacy - 850 N. Bonito St.), guests are invited to walk through the original school in an open-house format, visit the gym to explore artifacts dating back to the 1950s, and view a special Legacy Slideshow featuring community-submitted photos and memories.
Then, at Marshall 2.0 (Launch - 755 N. Bonito St.), guests can tour the brand-new Marshall Magnet Elementary School and celebrate the exciting new chapter ahead.
Those interested in attending a tour at the new Marshall campus must sign up in advance at: https://bit.ly/MarshallTours

Nov. 17th - Photo shoot at Marshall 2.0
We will have 3 classrooms semi-set up. The rest of the photos school-wide will run from 9-noon-ish. We will need students of all ages. We will take shots inside makerspaces, on playground, in media center and cafe, and finally in classrooms.
Please send me a few names of students who you think can miss a bit of instruction on this day. We should award those who have high attendance and effort in your class.
Thank you for your help with this.
