Hello 2022!!!

Enjoy your well-deserved winter break!  Please take care of yourselves, your friends, and your families!

It has been, without a doubt, a stressful year and half with the coronavirus
pandemic wreaking havoc on schools around the world, and certainly here in the U.S. You've managed, persevered & you can feel good about taking your well-deserved vacation!

Refresh

Taking some time off gives you a chance to refresh and unload some of the burden you've been carrying on your shoulders. Stepping away for a period can help you clear your mind and come back more focused and ready to take on any
challenges that still lie ahead. The stress can be overwhelming, so refreshing is vital to your physical health, as well as your ability to effectively push students to their next level in 2022!  Together, we rise!

Final week of the semester!

HANG ON!!
Holiday Break is almost here!!!
A message from Keynote speaker
Tara Brown
I've had the opportunity to work with some amazing groups across the country during 2021. Some virtually and some in-person. There seemed to be a common theme that ran through all of those engagements and that was a sense of overwhelm. A feeling of having so much thrown at us and not having the time or resources to handle it all. So understandable in light of the ever changing, unpredictable environment of the pandemic and all the challenges it continues to present day in and day out.
Part of the work we were doing in many of the trainings was trying to gain a different perspective and approach to the overwhelm and resulting stress. Because, ultimately we do have the choice as to HOW we respond to what we are facing. As the holiday break approaches, I would lovingly suggest you spend some time reflecting on how you have been dealing with your stress and overwhelm and if there are changes and tweaks you could make that would help as you head into 2022.
One powerful moment of reflection in a training occurred when an educator stood up and shared with the group, 'We need to be VERY clear that when we say YES to something we are also saying NO to other things. I have been saying NO to my family way too long because of my job and that is going to change.'
Here's to a peaceful, relaxing, rejuvenating break with family and friends. I want to thank each of you for suiting up and showing up during this difficult stretch. Please know beyond a doubt that every connection matters and our energy and attitude can absolutely make or break someone's day. Let's keep Slingin' that Dopamine!!

From Tech: FUSD Cybersecurity Awareness Training 2021. We highly encourage everyone complete this training as it assists in keeping FUSD systems and staff secure. Please complete this training by 01/10/2022 11:59 PM. The training should take no more than 20 minutes to complete.

Planning for 2021/2022
All staff, please fill out this brief google form to assist in planning for next school year.  Only 19 of you have completed this.  It is important.  Thank you.
