To get us started I wanted to share an opportunity for all students. The African American Diaspora Advisory Council is sponsoring a Black History month essay contest and art contest. The 2022 Black History Month theme is “Black Health and Wellness.” February is Black History Month and presents us with an opportunity to celebrate, focus, and reflect on the rich history and culture of African Americans. (Please see attached flyer and rubric.).
The Coconino County Education Service Agency also has professional development that aims to unite all of us to recharge, engage, and innovate. If you or your school is interested in professional development, check out the list below or the AY 21-22 PD Catalog of learning opportunities available to educators.

Important Covid Updates
Changes to Covid Contact Tracing and Quarantining-
The FUSD COVID Support Team will continue to investigate cases and provide guidance to staff and families but they will not be individually identifying direct contacts and requiring quarantine from school or work. The focus will shift to providing guidance of return dates to individuals who test positive for COVID. The team will encourage families and staff who test positive to contact any individuals they know they have had contact with to inform them of the exposure. More to come...
PCR testing for staff/students will occur on Thursdays. Click link to sign up.
