Virginia from CCC&Y will present on Educator Resilience as it focuses on healing trauma especially as it relates to secondary traumatic stress.
"This Trauma Stewardship training combines information from Laura van Dernoot Lipskey's work with Trauma Stewardship, research from leadership theory for individual action, and information related to crisis and de-escalation to inform how we react to each other. High stress environments can create a trauma response in individuals, organizations and systems. Recognizing the symptoms, as well as, developing plans to prevent and/or heal the collective are important for sustainable and healthy teams."
Congratulations to Angela Waltner!
"On behalf of APS and Phoenix Suns Charities, it is my pleasure to inform you that your funding request for Magnet Monday STEAM Clubs has been approved in the amount of $2500.00. We had the largest number of grant applications that we have ever received. Your application was selected because of your level of detail describing the project, impact, and ability to explain the outcome of the project." Well done! On behalf of all Mustangs, thank you!Panorama Surveys - Mandatory for ALL STAFF (Certified and Classified)
All teachers and staff have been sent an individualized link to complete the Panorama survey. The first link was sent out on Friday 11/4 between 2-8pm (Request for Feedback - Teacher Feedback on Social Emotional Learning) and again Tuesday morning. If you are a supervisor, please be sure to tell all staff members that report to you to complete this survey. The survey must be completed by the end of the school day (3pm) on November 18th. I do not have access to the data collected from this, but I do know that the district is looking for 100% of staff/teachers to complete this survey.
K-2 teachers have received an extra personalized link to tell your perceptions of your students. From what I understand there are 5 short questions for each of the students on your roster. It is your perception of the student, so we do not need permission - the student is not answering the survey questions. This will help guide my lessons and any other interventions that Morgan and I do after Winter Break. This is being used as outcome data for behaviors and attitudes of students. It does not reflect on your classroom.
3-5 teachers have been sent a link to schedule time for me to complete the survey with your students. Please make sure that I have those permission slips PRIOR to me coming to your room to do the survey. I will be able to opt them out, which will help our outcome data as well. Same as K-2 - this information will determine lessons and any other interventions that Morgan and I do after Winter Break.
