GO MUSTANGS! As I visited each classroom this past week, I observed each of you CREATING a tone for a culture of caring in your classrooms; classrooms where teachers and students care about learning, about each other, and care about our community. The first week(s) of school set the tone for the entire year. When our students leave school feeling excited about themselves as learners & about you as their teacher, then we’re doing it right! Always remember that our student will meet expectations we set for them, as long as we are firm, fair, and consistent with these expectations and focus on real relationships with our students so they will want to meet our expectations. The primary way to accomplish positive relationship-building is genuinely caring deeply about our students as learners and young citizens! We are taking the time to get to know them, as well as showing them just how much we care. You are so good at this!
THANK YOU!
Internet Safety/Digital Citizenship Expectation
All FUSD students must receive at least one lesson related to internet safety/digital citizenship during each school year (starting in SY 2012-13). Although only one lesson must be taught to meet federal requirements, FUSD strongly encourages digital citizenship instruction throughout the academic year, as it provides an opportunity to set expectations for online behavior and prepares students for college, career, and life.
The FUSD Digital Citizenship Curriculum has been revised for the 2021 school year. There is one required lesson at each grade level, 2-3 recommended lessons at each grade level, and a new online verification form to be completed by each staff member that teaches the curriculum with students. All required lessons should be taught and the verification form should be completed by the teacher no later than December 3rd, 2021. View the new curriculum, details of the revision work, and the online verification form at: https://www.fusd1.org/internetsafety
How will you make a contribution to our school-wide awesomeness this year? Please fill out this form.
Please help us all see what is happening behind the scenes!
Thank you Denise, Jenn, Reid, Mr. Jake and Ms. Summer for all your help with our little guy in first grade. Your quick response and help has been much appreciated. ~Amy Hanno
Thank you Principal Reasor, I just want to send you a big thanks. You have always been quick to respond and very transparent. We think you are an amazing principal! I know that this year is still challenging and you might not always have all the support of all parents with some of the mitigation protocols, but know that you have our support and appreciation. Please let us know if we can ever help with anything.
Thanks, Kerry Grimm
Thank you CARES TEAM (Collaborative, Assistive, Restorative, Effective, Support) TEAM You were phenomenal this week! There is NO WAY I could keep up with you! It is absolutely impressive to see the collaboration, innovation, patience, effort, and the honest compassion you have for our students who are unable to thrive (YET) in the school environment. I continue to learn from each and every one of you! Hourly! ~Reasor
