Action!
Help us see behind the scenes! Take a moment to validate a Wingman!
Here are just a few of the Maverick Moments we witnessed on the first week of school. I know there are so many more!
Thanks to Ms. Erin and Mrs. Housholder, all school supplies were so well organized that very few of our teachers needed assistance with finding something they needed.
All Business Printers were serviced prior to your arrival and toner arrived in time (FACTS had them low). No idea what happened on Friday but the work order is in!
Mrs. C. loaded all the copy paper.
Mrs. Christina loaded all the butcher paper.
Mrs. Jones creatively decorated at least 5 bulletin boards changing the face of the first impression for students and their families.
Mrs. Woody moved half a dozen filing cabinets out of our hallways.
Ms Erin, Reasor, Krause, Waltner, Christensen and Cartwright moved desks, chairs AND MORE.
Peggy Murray, Kristie Jones, Bianca Fahy, Linda Stamer, and Jenn Burgoon for consistently checking on our newest Mustangs in their first week of school EVER!
Special Area teachers rocked bus duty as we continue to be patient with transportation services.
I am inspired by each of you!
You took time, daily, to reinforce expectations.
You supported a colleague in great need.
You brought issues and ideas to the front office!
You continue to be patient with our students and their parents.
You identified problems and brainstormed solutions.
You taught life and academic lessons.
You smiled, a lot.
You were an awesome team to watch.
You set the bar high!
You are Marshall ElevatED!!!
Thank you! Let's do it again this week.
Wow, we have a lot of tutoring hrs: Do you wish to make some extra $$ working with our students? Please let me know. Details from Kyle C.
As we are nearing the beginning of the new school year, I wanted to let you know that Marshall has 335.5 hrs remaining for tutoring through ESSER III Funds for this year. Please keep in mind several things:
1. All timesheets for ESSER III tutoring must be correctly filled out (dates, times, and pay periods correctly entered), and indicating that they are for ESSER III Tutoring funds.
2. Timesheets for tutoring are due to me no later than 10:00 AM on the due date (this is typically the Monday following the end of the pay period but there are some exceptions). If you need a pay period schedule, let me know. I am happy to forward what I received from Payroll.
3. ESI/Phased Retirement staff require approval from EED to tutor using the ESSER III funds. If you have ESI/Phased Retirement staff who want to tutor, we need to know about it before they begin.
4. This tutoring has only been approved for Certified Staff. Classified/Hourly staff are not approved for tutoring through these funds. Please do not use Classified staff for tutoring unless you have contacted us and gotten approval. Thanks, let us know if there are any questions.
From Jane Gaun: The old is DreamBox
DreamBox is back and 5 lessons a week for every student is the expectation. This requires dedicated time, K-2 lessons take 8-15 minutes, 3-5 lessons take 12-20 minutes. Over the last school year, FUSD students who averaged 5 lessons a week made over 100% yearly growth in mathematics!! Teachers should be logging at least twice a week to see the progression of your students.
To strong start and learn best practices for you and your students, plan to attend the first live DreamBox PD webinar. Register in Frontline and you may choose either 301 or Salary Advancement.

Click here to sign up for a time for us to take your students. Please stay tuned for a testing schedule for the one-on-one testing that begins on August 22.
4th - 5th Grade
Please sign up for a time that you will administer the aimswebPLUS Benchmark Assessments for Math and ELA. We would like those tests to be completed by next Wednesday, August 17 so we can assist with make-ups and complete the ORF assessments for the students who need them. I will get the tickets and directions to you by the end of the week. Click here to sign up for the time you will administer these tests through TestNav.
