Desert Financial Credit Union announced its Spring 2023 cycle for Adopt-A-Teacher. Seven Arizona teachers will be selected to receive $3,000 for their classrooms.
The application period runs until January 27, 2023, and the selected teachers will be notified of their grant award by January 31, 2023. Any eligible Arizona teacher can apply at https://solutions.desertfinancial.com/AdoptATeacher

It is ALWAYS survey season :). Now that you completed the form above, FUSD is saying that ADE is making this nutrition survey MANDATORY. Below is a 2-3minute survey that will assist FUSD for AZ Department of Education requirements for the FUSD Wellness policy. Please answer as many questions as possible that you are able to for student nutrition realizing that you may not know the answer to some questions. Please complete by Jan 24, 2023.

January 31, 2023 deadline date to submit your Professional Development for Salary Advancement! This applies to certified and classified. No exceptions will be made to this date and time. Review eligibility, guidelines, procedures, and submission details in the 2022-2023 Salary Advancement Information, available on the Professional Learning webpage (must sign in to the webpage to access all content).
Would you like to receive $29.80/hr to work on the school's Improvement Action Plan (IAP) off contract hours? The comprehensive plan is due mid-March and if you would like to analyze the Comprehensive Needs Assessment (CNA) results and execute a detailed plan through ADE as a part of your school's leadership team, let me know ASAP. Many hands make light work. We will meet Wed. Jan. 25 3:30-5:30 in the library prior to PTO meeting to discuss our results.

Based on information compiled by the National Center on Safe Supportive Learning Environments, this training emphasizes how educators can implement specific trauma-informed practices, with a brief review of the prevalence and impacts of trauma on students and adults. Participants will learn classroom-based modifications and accommodations that prevent re-traumatization of students and instead build student resilience.
