MATH PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Thursday Feb 16 4-6 pm in the FUSD Boardroom Addition and Subtraction to 100: Mental Strategies
Goal: Develop flexible mental computation strategies for addition and subtraction in the range to 100. Mental computation, while an important learning goal itself, also provides a basis for the development of meaningful formal computation methods. participants will come away with a teaching sequence, activities and materials to use as soon as the next day.
