Click above to see what is coming! It is a school-wide focus as we find ways to support our 5th graders in AZScience and our 3-5th graders in AASA. We will make sure their testing environments are set up for success (no transition in halls).
We must also do the same with AZELLA which is starting this week for some of our students. Please be so mindful of the signs in the hall and on their doors. They have a speaking and listening section and if they are interrupted at all, we have to call the state and report. It is so much more work. Please note these times and consider another restroom time or place outside of the science lab and room 5 with whole class. Thank you all for your attention and support of our amazing ELL students! They've got this! Let's encourage them all!
Monday Feb 6- Thursday Feb 9
8:50am -10:00am - TESTING
2:00pm-3:00pm - TESTING
Feb 21- March 8
AZELLA TESTING WINDOW FOR ALL beginning at 9am with a break mid-day. Testing times depend on each and every student.
*There will be no pull out ELL services during this time. All testing will take place in both Rm 5 and the Science lab.
March 6-8
Make ups as need in Rm 5
FUSD teachers are invited to apply to the NEH summer workshop Racialized Spaces on Route 66. This is a great opportunity for FUSD teachers to prepare students for the 2026 100 year anniversary of Route 66 (so cool). The workshop is based here in Flagstaff and will support various standards in the grade 3-12 curriculum.
Below is the link to the program website as well as their instagram and facebook pages. For local teachers this is a place based program, offers a $1300 stipend to cover any costs, and provides space to create curriculum. Let me know if you take advantage of this opportunity.
