SHOUT-OUTS

Let's make time to acknowledge our amazing teammates!

I am inspired by each of you!
You organized and delivered so many school supplies.

You took time, daily, to reinforce expectations.
You supported a colleague in great need.
You brought issues and ideas to the front office!
You continue to be patient with our students and their parents.
You identified problems and brainstormed solutions.
You taught life and academic lessons.

You helped out a different grade level.

You dug up sharp weeds.

You painted the two tables in the front of the school.

You collaborated on service schedules (ELL, ESS, Speech) to optimize the time students have in their classrooms.

You collaborated on an assessment schedule to expedite our data collection and therefore, RTI services.

You brought your husband in to clear a safe walking path between the cafe and playground.

You stopped what you were doing to put another's needs before yours.

You smiled, a lot.
You were an awesome team to watch.
You set the bar high!
You are Marshall ElevatED!!!

Thank you! Let's do it again this week.

Communication with families

  • The district has three approved methods of communication with parents & students (outside of email and calls from school extensions):
    • StudentVUE & ParentVUE
    • Canvas Inbox
    • Blackboard Connect
  • We cannot use Class Dojo to communicate with parents. Have questions, come see me!

Lightening Apps - I like WeatherBug, My Lightning Tracker and RadSat

Wow, we have a lot of tutoring hrs: Do you wish to make some extra $$ working with our students?  Please let me know.

Dismissal Procedures

I hope clarifying the following expectations will assist us all finishing our day as safely as we begin our day.

Please share the following with your students:

1) Students must be dismissed by the teacher, not the bell.

2) Students will walk directly to their designated area (gym bus line, FACTS, front entry for parent pick-up). No bathroom stops or detours unless given permission by teacher.

3) When in gym bus line, NO CELL PHONES, FOOD or DRINK allowed. Keep all belongings packed up. Students must sit and keep volume down.

4) When loading a bus, all students must remain in a single-file line. Kinders load first. **Please check all Kinder name tags on the backpack to be sure they are on the right bus as they load!

5) We will begin loading at 3:35pm (12:50pm on Fri.). That gives them only 5 min. to get to the gym and line up. Again, no bathroom stops. There is NO reason to miss a bus. No time to lag.

6) Remember, you are the last impression of their time at Marshall. Take a moment to wish them a good evening or ask about their day! It goes a long way!!

Thank you all for your continued support in helping students adhere to these expectations!
