Spotlight: Meet Jennifer Carrozzino, Counselor
Jenn Carrozzino (Mrs. C) is excited to be on the Marshall team! She comes with experience at many levels within the education program - from preschool (which she taught while finishing her Bachelor's degree) to the university level at NAU. She spent the bulk of her career teaching at a middle school (7-8 grades) all levels (inclusion to gifted) of Integrated Language Arts. She completed her Masters in School Counseling and started counseling in a Kinder building (2.5 days a week) and a K-6 building (the other 2.5 days a week). On a personal note - Jenn has been married to Tony for almost 18 years (in December) and they have two kids - Isabella an 8th grader and Carter a first grader in Mrs. Ogg's class. They have two dogs (Cooper and Gus) and a hairless Guinea Pig named Harry. She loves to read, travel and hang out with her family in her spare time. She is here to help you, our students and their families with any situation that might come up!
Cyber Attack Update:
Well I am sitting here waiting on what I hope are the LAST TWO computers I touch this weekend. It is really something to see who steps up in a time of need. There is a team of what started as 60 of us working around the clock since Thursday. Today, (now Sunday 2:45pm) that team is left with about 25 of us really really exhausted peeps. You all know Russ Kasch and how he loves to be a part of the problem solving and solutions - well he has selflessly committed his entire weekend to assisting us. It has been so nice having him around. So, very hesitantly, I will tell you what I know to be the truth at this minute.
THE Top 10 FACTS:
1) The goal is to be in school tomorrow (Monday) - Just got word to check email for limitations! Whooo hooooo hard work payed off (we think)!!!!
2) With every update I receive, the story changes within the hour.
3) People are working really hard, both physically and mentally!
4) The processes have been very complex with many moving parts.
5) Teacher laptops are almost disinfected - update says you may receive them by tomorrow.
6) At Marshall, the 3 front office, 1 FACTS and Nurse computers are disinfected. This is the bare minimum to operate properly.
7) Libraries are NOT able to use computers across the district.
8) If you have a dell in your room (x-cat 3-5 - anyone else??) you may NOT use it. It must be disconnected at this time.
9) All communications (school closures and teacher laptop updates) will come from Zach Fountain, not myself.
10) I will likely be a bit of a zombie on Monday so please be patient with me :)
I am honored to be a part of Team FUSD and know that Marshall teachers, parents and students are best served with me on the front lines rather than in the wings waiting for knowledge. What an amazing learning experience this has been!
