Mya Hetrick
RTI Instructional Aid

My name is Mya (Mrs. Hetrick ๐Ÿ˜Š ), and I am so grateful to have been accepted into the Marshall family!  I am a Wisconsin native but spent 15 years in Phoenix, and recently my husband, two children and I moved to beautiful Flagstaff to slow the pace of our life down, and to enjoy the seasons and wonderful community that Flagstaff is known for.  I keep busy with my grade-school-aged daughter and son, who both attend Knoles Elementary.  My husband and I enjoy attending their sporting events, but when we're not running to basketball or snowboarding lessons, we love hiking with our Cockapoo (Savanna), family movie nights, road trips, and exploring the city (including trying all of the wonderful restaurants!).  I am a homebody, so my love for design has been put to good use as we're in the process of renovating our home.  Some of my other favorite things include thrifting, sushi, connecting with friends, morning tea, and browsing bookstores.๐Ÿ˜Š   Traveling to Norway is at the top of my bucket list, where much of my family still lives.  Fun fact: I have jumped out of a plane, but I'm too scared to ride on a chairlift at Snowbowl.  Go figure!
A very big THANK YOU for welcoming me! I am looking forward to working with all of the students at Marshall, as well as meeting you all in person! ~Mya

FUSD Team Members Can Receive Priority Registration for
Free COVID-19 Testing

In partnership with Arizona State University, Flagstaff Unified School District team members can receive priority registration for free saliva-based COVID-19 screening testing.
Screening tests are intended to identify infected individuals prior to the development of symptoms or those infected individuals without signs or symptoms who may be contagious.  Testing is critical to slowing the spread because you can be infected with COVID-19 and transmit it to others even if you don’t have symptoms.
Free saliva-based testing and priority registration is available for FUSD team members at the following locations:
Sinagua Middle School Tuesdays and Thursdays
11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 3950 E. Butler Avenue (Testing at Sinagua will be located in the football field parking lot.)
