Hello September

Take Your Legislator to School

This unique collaboration pairs teachers with local state legislators who spend a full day in a public school classroom.

This partnership facilitates meaningful conversation between policy makers and educators and gives state legislators an intimate look at the day-to-day realities of public schools in Arizona. For information

SCIENCE OF READING VIDEOS

This series of videos provides suggested actions you can take right now to increase the effectiveness of your reading instruction.

Video 1: Improve the effectiveness of the daily read aloud

Video 2: Align instruction of high frequency words to the way the brain learns to read

Video 3: Increase opportunities to practice by using decodable text

Video 4: Effectively prompt students when they are reading and spelling

Moving toward the science of reading doesn't require buying a new core program or engaging in lengthly PD. The actions in these videos represent small steps that every teacher can take to get a big improvement in reading outcomes.

Safety Reminder:
We are gearing up for Magnet Monday!  Please make sure if your room is hosting an elective that the student roster is in your ER folders.  Thank you.
