Ready for QTR 2!

Thank you, Mrs. Ramirez and Marshall CSO for treating our staff to The Woot Woot Wagon on Conference week!  What a nice surprise for all!

Teacher Dashboards Access

From Michael Vogler:

Teacher dashboards are currently accessible.  To make these available ASAP, I am going to link the CSF/301 Teacher Dashboard training with DecisionEd dashboard access.  If a teacher wants to access their dashboard, then all they need to do is register for, and complete, the CSF/301 training on Teacher Dashboards.  Other trainings will be made available.  The training should take about 1 hour and includes information on how to access and use their dashboard alongside information on student information privacy.  The registration for the asynchronous course is at: https://www.mylearningplan.com/LearningPlan/ActivityProfile.asp?I=4492027

Marshall will be participating in the Flagstaff Mall Elevate My School program to earn points towards a monetary award for our school (not MCSO). Please bring ORIGINAL receipts to the Marshall office for ANY purchase made at the Flagstaff Mall September 29th through December 31st. Receipts must be turned into Marshall within 30 days of purchase.

Thank you for supporting our Flagstaff Mall and Marshall!  Please help us (Angela, Erin, Christina, and me) spread the word!

Conferences

I was very impressed with the multitude of compliments families were expressing as they left their conference(s).  Your professionalism and high expectations for students and their families is evident! You all were rocking it this week!  Once again, I will be reporting your conference percentages to Mr. Penca using this form.  Please have this completed by Wednesday, Oct. 18th.

From Nurse Walmer
There will be a fairly new sub covering on Monday. She has asked if we could request that teachers send students with passes to help her identify them. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Below is the flyer for the flu shot clinic from VERA coming up on Oct. 26 from 8-10am. They will not be giving the new Covid vaccine at this time. Nurse Walmer will have the sign-up sheet and consent forms in her office for those that want to complete them before the event, or you can just walk in. We will use the small break room near the office.

High Quality Instruction
Culture of Feedback  - in progress

You are all rocking your routines, expectations, and schedules!  Now that we are settled into our rhythm, I want to be more purposeful with time in your classrooms!

Beginning next week, I will be visiting many classrooms for about 15-20 min.  I am NOT there to judge, I am curious and excited! I (sometimes we - Overton and Ramirez) will be providing feedback via the ELEOT observation tool since a majority of our staff is familiar with it and it allows for me to go back to compare observation walkthroughs prior. It also allows for me to to leave comments.  There is no expectation to prepare anything on your end.  I hope you will find the collected evidence and feedback helpful and insightful. I would love to schedule a few brief feedback meetings as well.  These are NOT scheduled but your formal evaluations are and that schedule is below in the TEI plan.

Indicators of High Quality Instruction

Here is one of the observational tools that will be used when Superintendent Huffman observes in classrooms this year. Please take a peek. I will continue to use the ELEOT observation tool since a majority of our staff is familiar with it and it allows for me to go back to compare observation walkthroughs prior.

TEI PLAN - Pre-conferences begin when we return.  Make sure you understand the schedule

Please review the TEI PLAN for the 2023-2024 school year. This document includes the following: A link to the rubric, overview of the indicator timeline (under construction), the observation timeline which includes information on the pre-conference, observation, post conference, and summative evaluation expectations. Please review this thoroughly.

PLCs Week of Oct. 2

RTI regular schedule

Thank you all for your commitment to our collective Professional Learning Communities!

Special schedule change for Music, PE, and Library
Special Area Teachers have requested that we switch the order of specials at the quarter due to the fatigue factor they are experiencing during the 3rd block of their specials within the grade band.  It is worth a try.  I am sorry for any confusion this may have caused.  Please review the Master Schedule HERE and in the MUSTANG HUB 2.0.  Don't hesitate to reach out to me if this adjustment in the schedule has a consequence we may have overlooked.
