2nd qtr final push
Welcome back! I hope you had a relaxing yet fulfilling Thanksgiving break! Personally, I made time to reflect on ALL we have been through this year and ALL we still have to accomplish in an environment which we don't desire but are getting really good at! While we have lost so much in a remote learning environment, we have not lost our desire to do the absolute best we can for our students and families. It will continue to take our individual BEST to support each other and our students as we finish this 2nd quarter, STRONG! We only have three weeks left to push our students to achieve their highest in the 2nd quarter. Let's also make time to offer support to each other. Keep up the ElevatED pace!
Concurrent Teaching
An Elementary Presentation
As we plan for an in-person return (eventually), concurrent teaching is now being discussed at all FUSD grade levels. To learn more about how staff can teach students both in person and online, concurrently, Tia Marquez has offered to walk us through the process so we can feel what it is like to be a student in a concurrent classroom. Her presentation is about 75 minutes long and will be on Friday, December 4th at 1:00pm for Marshall and other elementary teachers. If you cannot make it this Friday, please contact me. There will be one other opportunity in December with limited space.
Classroom Observations: Go to THE HUB to see the week you are scheduled.
Evaluations this week:

Restorative Practices
THE 5 R’S
(please digest 1 a week)
RESPONSIBILITY
REPAIR
RELATIONSHIP
REINTEGRATION
5. REINTEGRATION:
The restorative process is made complete by having the responsible party and all those who have felt alienated or isolated be accepted back into the community. As people put the problem behind them and find ways for ensuring it doesn’t happen again, the person who did harm, the person who was harmed, and community members can begin to create a new role in the community based on their own self-worth. The reintegration process can be formal or informal, depending upon the nature of the conflict or wrongdoing, and often involves providing needed resources and services to the person who did harm and the person who was harmed.
I am happy to announce that all went well for Ms. Fisher! Now the real work begins - the healing. We can help with meals for this awesome family of four. Please consider signing up to provide them with a meal in the upcoming weeks. Thank you to those who have already provided. A little goes a long way!
