The month of April will bring many opportunities for our Marshall students and staff!
An opportunity to take the AzM2/AIMS Science ("try your hardest, do your best, and always remember you are more than a test")! Opportunities to support all of our students in the hall, at lunch, in passing. Even the simplest connection (a smile, a hello, a good morning, acknowledging a haircut, a kind word of encouragement) can have a profound impact on that student’s day. Opportunities to provide input on Marshall's School Improvement Plan and 2021/22 planning. I look forward to all we will accomplish this month!
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Restorative Practice Summer Professional Learning
Flagstaff Unified School District is excited about our commitment to Restorative Practices. This approach is value-based, highlighting the importance of relationships for emotional wellbeing, resolving conflict, preventing harm and building resilient communities. This approach works by ensuring a consistent and congruent perspective in the building, maintaining and repairing of relationships, and intentionally shaping the internal culture of schools.
Our District will be supporting Restorative Practice through intensive professional learning starting on July 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th, and August 2nd and 3rd. Each school has been assigned training dates.
On July 29 and July 30, 2021 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Marshall Elementary School will have Restorative Practice training for 2 days.
You will receive 14 hours of seat hours, and can choose salary advancement or $100.00 per day of training.
Tutoring at the FRC
The FRC is once again offering free tutoring at the Family Resource Center. They are offering reading and math support for all grades. They are half hour slots and parents must transport their students. They may no longer ride the bus to the FRC. Parents can register at https://fusd1.ce.eleyo.com/
