Congratulations on the completion of a successful first quarter!
Don't forget to continue to get your students excited about selling discount cards! Remember, the TEACHERS of the grade level who sells the most get a fancy lunch catered by Reasor. The class with most participation gets a pizza party. The class with the most sales gets an ice cream party. Sell 1 card to be entered into the raffle for prizes. For every 5 cards sold, you get another entry into the raffle. Let's really push this our first week back. Competition ends on 10/21
The Inner Voice of a Child...
An important reminder for us all. I know we’ve all encountered situations when we’ve observed a parent/guardian raising their voice at their child, or you’ve tried to soothe a student that was sad from being yelled at by his/her parents/guardians before school. We often wonder how many of our students come to school upset, repeating messages to themselves that they’ve heard from their parents/guardians that perpetuate their own negative feelings about themselves?
On the contrary, I’m fortunate to constantly witness the positive models that you are for our students at Marshall. Every morning, faculty greets students with a smile, telling each and every one how happy they are to see them! I’ve seen upset students calm down, because a teacher spoke in a soft, loving voice. I’ve seen high fives and elbow taps, and teachers praising students. I heard compliments that range from noticing new haircuts to new shoes. From head to toe you are making a difference. Daily. Our students are so fortunate to have you in their lives to make sure that they hear positive messages each day to build them up! They deserve it! Please continue to know how impactful your kindness is to each student.
The RTI Department 😀 will be coming around to Progress Monitor at different times this week since there will be no RTI. We still need to collect the data to get ready for GDMs and IDMs.
If you have anyone you feel you need to IDM, here is the form to fill out. We will get them on the schedule starting the week of October 17.
